Irrigation / Hardscape Technician

Employee status: Non exempt, Hourly team association responsible for providing excellent landscaping and irrigation services to Dickerson Landscaping customers. We are interested in individuals who work well with others, self starters who are motivated and prideful of their work as well as put forth the extra effort to keep things looking their best.

Our main location is near Tallahassee Florida, about 8 miles east of town via I-10.

Criteria necessary for the job:

• A working knowledge of irrigation systems i.e. Rain bird, Hunter, Toro systems.
• Reliable transportation to the main office in Lloyd, Fl.
• Capable of functioning in variable outdoor conditions.
• Capable of handling irrigation supplies and landscape materials.
• Working 10 hour days.
• Ability to fix and problem solve most irrigation systems.
• Program irrigation clocks.
• Locate valves and rebuild them when necessary.
• Design and install new irrigation systems.
• Be insurable and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities associated with the job:

• Irrigation repair, installation, and problem solving.
• Maintain organization of irrigation inventory.
• Maintain nursery irrigation system and expansion.
• Keeping inventories.
• Instructing crews and managing job site.
• Maintain written documentation as required.
• Show drive and determination to get the job completed on-time and within budget.
• Participate in training sessions and complete tests.
• Work as a team player.
• Be courteous, respectful, and give assistance to clients in promoting optimum results.

Required experience:

• Irrigation: 2 years

Required license or certification:

• Driver’s License

Salary:

$38,500-$42,000 per year / $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
